It’s a shame I can only give 5 stars. I had another company, Will Fixit, come out last night on an emergency call. I have had health problems recently that even required emergency surgery, and my son was worried about the heat affecting me. He was sweet enough to pay for last night. Their tech said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my air conditioner, charged me $119, gave me horrible customer service and left me with an 84-degree house and no resolution. Today, Comfort Commander was kind enough to squeeze me in to a tight schedule. The tech, Travis, went out to the outside unit, and came right back in…. he had already found the problem. The wire was fried between the capacitor and the compressor, and one of the fittings on the capacitor was loose/melted. He showed me the parts, gave me a quote, listened to me rant about this mean tech last night, fixed the problem and it wasn’t a whole lot more than what I paid last night. Travis was sympathetic, efficient, and gave great customer service. How the tech last night didn’t see the fried wire or realize the compressor wasn’t even kicking on is beyond me. Thank goodness for Comfort Commander though. They were awesome! I feel terrible for the $119 donation my son made last night to Will Fixit (because it certainly wasn’t for any services rendered), but thankfully there are still honest companies around who believe in taking care of their customers and treating them right, and Comfort Commander is one of them!
